This ceramic set was produced by Weil Ware, a California pottery company active from the 1930s through the 1950s. The 'Blossom Celadon' pattern featuring delicate yellow flowers on a white background with square-shaped cups and saucers was particularly popular during the mid-century modern era of the 1940s-1950s.
Mid-century California pottery has become highly collectible among vintage tableware enthusiasts and mid-century modern collectors. The distinctive square shape and hand-painted floral design exemplify the post-war aesthetic that combined modern forms with natural motifs, making these pieces sought after for both their decorative appeal and historical connection to American ceramic production.
(2) saucers and (2) plates are approx. 5.5” square
Please note a few bits of wear on a cup and plate. They all display beautifully.
