This decorative glass vase was produced in Japan during the late 20th century, likely part of Mikasa's art glass collection designed by Larry Laslo. The piece features hand-blown glass with embedded silver aventurine flecks and distinctive vertical ribbing, showcasing the Japanese mastery of decorative glasswork during this period. These vases were manufactured by Kurata for Mikasa and distributed internationally as part of their upscale home décor line.

Such pieces appeal to collectors of vintage art glass, mid-century modern enthusiasts, and admirers of Japanese craftsmanship. The combination of elegant form, sparkling aventurine inclusions, and quality construction makes these vases desirable among decorative arts collectors who appreciate the fusion of functional design with artistic beauty. The Mikasa brand's reputation for quality glassware adds to the collectibility and value of these pieces.
